Hello Everyone,

I picked up a copy of this month's book, "Daisy Jones & The Six," at the Indigo Spirit bookstore at Kingsway Mall for $15. If you are looking for a copy there were a few more there, and they will likely be available at other Indigo/Chapters locations.

Also, Glen has suggested it would be a good idea if not only the person making the selection for the next month announces the name of their book, but the following person as well. So, while it is Mary Davenport who is choosing for April, Glen has already announced his choice for May. It is "Sea of Tranquility" by Emily St. John Mandel.

Cheers,
Colin

Hello everyone,

Mary has made her choice for the April book. It is "Station Eleven" by Emily St. John Mandel. Happy reading!

Cheers,
Colin

I think back-to-back Emily St. John Mandel would be a little overbearing so, in light of Mary selecting Station 11, I will withdraw my selection for May. Perhaps we can read "Sea of Tranquility" sometime in the future. I will reconsider my choice and let all know once I've made a selection.

You make a good point, Glen.

Hello all,

Mary has changed her selection for the April read. It is now “The Red Queen,” a historical novel by Philippa Gregory.

Cheers,
Colin

Just so everyone's sure where we're at, following the Wednesday, April 3 meeting at which we will discuss "Daisy Jones & The Six" (Steve's choice), our April book (chosen by Mary) is "The Red Queen" by Philippa Gregory. The meeting to discuss it is scheduled for May 3. Glen has chosen the book we'll read in May, "Sea of Tranquility" by Emily St. John Mandel. The June book will be Carol's selection.

Cheers,
Colin
